You know, since I started writing about my dreams, I'm beginning to remember them more frequently! I can't remember very much of last night, buuuut for some reason I was at coastal B. C. around the time of its exploration by George Vancouver. There was some drama or something in the group of people I was with over, well... One guy wanted to wait at this one passage and rob tour buses. And we wouldn't hold with that kind of behaviour, thank you very much!

|< Brain, I am not impressed by this anachronism. Do better tomorrow although it's better than cute animals killing each other so uh I guess I shouldn't complain.

Anyway! Today was awesome and exciting! But this takes a bit of set-up, so bear with me.

I talked about how I've been watching Onmyou Taisenki a few posts ago, right? Well, I really, really like it. A lot. |D I'd assumed that my affection for Digimon was just a product of nostalgia and a holdover from loving it when I was younger, but it seems that there's something about the genre that really works for me. Hah, I'm off topic already. I'LL COME BACK TO THIS.
ETA: AND BY "I'LL COME BACK TO THIS," I MEAN, "I'LL COME BACK TO THIS ANOTHER DAY PROBABLY IF I DON'T FORGET AGAIN."

SO! Because I had just finished (oh yeah, I'm fin-adghiwag I'll get back to this) this show that I liked, I was all excited and wanted to talk about it with someone, you know? (Onmyou Taisenki is hugely underrated, and will ~~probably~~ certainly never reach North America, so I can't even find much of a fandom to join up with D:). So, when I was asked at lunch what was new, I replied that I'd been watching this show, Onmyou Taisenki. It's an anime- aaaand I watched as attention was lost. My friends being the awesome people they are, of course, they listened, but it's just not something that they're interested in. Fair's fair.

But it left me with a craving for someone to blab about (maybe even watch) dorky anime with- I'm afraid that I don't know anyone around here who is really into it.

Then my friend William texted me, asking if I wanted to do something. Most of my labs were cancelled this week, so I had a bit more free time than usual! So I ~~somehow~~ managed to take the bus to his place where we... watched Ouran High School Host Club. XD He has the whole thing downloaded and likes it! But that's the only anime he's seen, I'm afraid, and I don't really know if he's interested in seeing another. When I brought it up he didn't seem especially enthused, which is not to say that he rejected the idea. ...I'm pretty sure that I don't know any shows, though, that are similar to OHSHC. XD The whole thing's a parody of shoujo anime, so. |B Not really a sub-genre that I know much about. Neither parody nor shoujo.*

But! It was exciting nevertheless, and something that I will pursue! XD THERE'S NO ESCAPE FOR HIM! >D

I'm still not done, though! Today, in my Bio lab, I was idly drawing pictures in the margins of my notes (extremely typical of me). I sit beside a very quiet and shy Asian girl.** We do this thing where we're both totally shy, and because the labs are all individual we don't interact very much, but when I've got a question she's the one I turn to, and similarly when she needs a hand she does the same. So, I would say we're friends because I assume that anyone who talks to me is a friend.*** ANYWAY, she she sees what I'm drawing and goes, "Lucario! :o"**** And I say, "~~aweguwho[2w4t2hsomeonesawmedrawingPokemonmanI'madork~~ Haha, yeah! :B ~~wait, what?~~" And then she asked me if I read manga and I nearly fell over with glee. xD We talked for a little bit about anime, but then the prof. started teaching and we had assignments to do and stuff, so we didn't get to be dorky for very long. :BBB I am excited for next week, though, because yaaaaay a dorky friend for me! |D Also, she totally drew a very cute little Pikachu on her own paper and :DDD POKEFRIEND YES.

*A word that made Martina and Steph (the people I lunch with) look at me all buggy-eyed until I explained myself. DANGIT MARTINA YOU ARE THE WRONG KIND OF NERD! D: Alecia if she sees this make sure that she doesn't take it the wrong way or something. Does she read this? :o I don't think so.

**I would say Chinese, but to be honest I'm terrible at telling SE-Asian ethnicities apart. :B I'm just glad that I can usually tell people of Japanese descent from continental groups.

...See, these footnotes are all of a result of my ~~ADHD oh wait I have that so maybe it's no longer funny to joke about?~~ general distractibility. I wish I knew how to link to a different part of an entry, because then I could make 'Choose Your Own Adventure'-style posts. Wouldn't that be great? :o I totally would do it, too, because not everyone wants to read me talking about anime for ten minutes. People who know Will could hear about my evil schemes to turn him into an ~~otaku~~ dork, and people who want to assume that I have a crush on the girl from Bio could just find the direct route to that! Oh man, I could even hide easter eggs and stuff, to make things fun.

Also, you ought to bother me more often, then! :o You want to go get coffee at some point or something? Because I haven't seen you in forever.

Here is my advice. Ask her if she has MSN, or facebook, or a cell phone (she SHOULD have a cell phone, dear Lord!) and then exchange cell numbers or something or whichever one of those options you like, because you can say like, "hey y'know we should exchange cell numbers in case one of us runs into trouble with studying" or something along those lines, cause you already ask each other for help, so just like extend that. If that makes sense. And then it shouldn't seem like you're hitting on her. Unless you want to, then I don't know how you should go about that haha.

See, it's a good thing you got your advice in first, because mine totally would have been;

"You like pokemon? I like pokemon! Clearly we should have sex!"

haha i seriously doubt eibbor would follow that advice anyway.

That totally reminds me of the time I brought up watching Mewtwo Strikes Back with my roommate in front of this guy I'd known for four years at lunch and he just went WAIT WHAT YOU LIKE POKEMON and I was like SHIT YEAH and then we spent the rest of lunch trying to figure out what kind of drunk Mewtwo would be. As you can see, we take Pokemon very seriously :|
