Apparently that video has a huge amount of gay in it, but I didn't notice because the internet has totally desensitized me. Slash practically goes without saying when you're watching that kind of thing! :o The comments are kind of hilarious though.

Oh! I was able to recover a good deal of what I lost with my hard drive just by digging into the inner workings of the old computers. Not everything, but everything that matters. I believe fist pumps are called for.

also! Zarla posted another screencap thingie of The Origin of Mewtwo a while back. IT IS AWESOME because I had never even found a good translation of it and suddenly bam here it is. THIS IS THE INTRODUCTION TO THE MOVIE IN JAPAN. IT HAD TO BE REMOVED BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED IN NORTH AMERICA BECAUSE IT MADE THE REST OF THE MOVIE MAKE SLIGHTLY MORE SENSE.

Gah. It's distressing how many people come to the Police and Corrections museum, see the rack, and say they wish we were still using it and the cat'o'nine-tails. :[ Whipping people just isn't right, folks. I don't care if it's a more effective deterrent or if they deserve it or whatever you'd like to claim.
I've been working on pulling statistics from the Guestbook from 2008, which means I have to read all the comments and stuff. Charli-who-dots-his-'I'-with-a-star knows better than these folks. His comment: "its sad what they did to the priseners" AND IT IS! :O I mean, call me a pinky liberal commie or whatever but there you go. Charli-who-dots-his-'I'-with-a-star is a wise young fella.
Also we have a squirrel. he tried to come in the other day and I herded him out because you probably shouldn't have squirrels in the museum, right? But he came back in today and I let him run around and he left in about five minutes on his own. It's very cute; he kind of bounces along the carpet, all four paws leaving the ground at once. The folks here have a name for him, but I forget it. Must bring delicious squirrel-treats tomorrow.

It is here and here. :DDDDD GUYS THIS IS AWESOME even though the translation is pretty bad and at points it sounds like whomever did it just made that crap up. WHATEVER. THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE.
Hooooowever it was funny actually, a dude I know, a friend, he mentioned that he had seen that movie again recently and that it was really bad. TO BE HONEST, IT KIND OF IS. WOOO GIANT DEUS EX MACHINA. Taken as a whole, the movie isn't all that good. The dub is naturally even worse because North American kids explode or something if they hear music that isn't hollow pop and will eat up anything you feed them anyway.
Where was I going with this? Uh. Point is that the movie is way better for someone who already digs Pokemon. It expands the world and actually considers things like, 'hey wait some Pokemon are fully sentient, why shouldn't they be their own trainers?'. And I maintain that Mewtwo is the deepest character in the series but that may be my bias speaking.

It's weird how 'fella' and 'dude' are both totally gender-neutral to me. I mean, I guess they've got masculine connotations (fella especially), but I'll totally use them for anyone and anything.
Oh right! I'm a couple cases into Apollo Justice! Trucy is just the cutest thing ever, I swear. Especially when she does her "I'm a derp :P" pose. I can't say that I like Apollo like I do Nick, but naturally I've got a bunch more history with Phoenix so it's hardly fair. I DON'T KNOW WHY EVERYONE WAS UPSET ABOUT HOBO!PHOENIX because he is pretty awesome. He's still Phoenix, but he's matured. Seven years will do that to a person! And it's nice to know that he and Maya are still in touch. I bet he can't get rid of Larry, either, because Larry will never go away. Ladies and gentlemen, I am in 100% mint condition. Never-been-opened, sealed in a plastic bag in a vault in a bank. Seriously. I have never 'broken' as it were, or even been damaged. I don't foresee it happening any time soon. This leaves me in a position of wondering, am I, because my life has gone more or less swimmingly and because I can handle things that do go wrong, not quite the person I could be?
Of course, it's not really the sort of thing that anyone can answer, although any opinions would be interesting, I'm sure.
Mm, I think that Katherine is a good bad influence on me. She convinced me to go over to the house of a couple people who were in her grade- one below mine- and watch an awful movie instead of doing my laundry like a responsible boy. It meant that I ended up wearing my awful Sobeys pants to work because I had nothing else clean, but I don't regret it. ...Even though we watched Step Up 2. It was as bad as the original which I also, lord save me, have seen.
We're thinking of checking out the observatory with another girl from the res who came along for the movie, Nicole. She seems nice, although I bet she thinks I'm a bit insane.
Speaking of people's opinions of me, it looks like Katherine thinks I am a rather proper person! xD Dignified and whatnot. Will she be in for a surprise or what, heh.
Uh, it looks as though I've been roped into 'm going to be taking care of both Sarah's as well as Jen's and Scott's cats for a few days while they run off to a concert or something. ...I'm totally going to get lost trying to find my sister's place, but oh wellllll.
Have some awesome links: I may have linked this before, but Lackadaisy is one of the awesomest comics on the internet, in my opinion. I don't think it has a weak point! If the art was awful, I'd still read it. If the characters were flat, I'd read it. If the story was weak, I'd read it. If it were boring, I'd read it. It's just good luck that none of those are true! So it's like a collision of awesome in a single webcomic.
Kagerou is really an interesting story. The art, especially the more recent stuff, is wonderful and it's got this really neat world going on behind the story. It's got mega serious stuff, but comedy mixed in. My kind of comic.

zarla presents the first three Metal Gear games in FULL CAPS-O-VISION. READ THEM. She totally made almost all of the sprites she used for Metal Gear Solid. Intense, no?

I hope that everyone has seen 'There She Is!!' by SamBakZa? The metaphor is a bit obvious, maybe, but hey, the music is great and the art is cute. The animation is fantastic. Check out their other videos, too, uh, if you can find them. I sure can't... >>;
And, hey, since we're looking at cute foreign furry animations that have been around for years, check out the Nightmare City series. Once again, the music is love (and HILARIOUS. IT'S ENGLISH, BELIEVE IT OR NOT! XDDD Need proof? Hold down the space bar while watching the first one, and click the word on the left until you reach Lyrics.). I would call it the shounen accompaniment to the obviously shoujo 'There She Is!!' Look, English doesn't really have a word for 'boy's series' and 'girl's series.' I DON'T HAVE TO JUSTIFY MYSELF TO YOU. Uh, where was I? Enjoy it! Uh, may as well go with the International version. They're more or less the same.
Ah, the music group, 403 Forbiddena, got a myspace, apparently. I'll need to check this out, see if they've got anything I haven't heard. Haha, 'epic' is the only word for their lyrics and style. xD
